“MALHABLADO” is the eighth album from Diamante Eléctrico, one of Colombia’s more important rock/pop bands. The album explores the many faces of Bogotá’s night, from partying and dancing in drug fueled exthasis to heartbreak and melancholy on a lonely sidewalk as the sun rises. After a career of more than ten years, the band not only continues to expand its sound, taking influence from hip hop, psychedelic rock and pop, they also wanted to celebrate their long journey with their first centerfold vinyl.
The centerpiece encapsulates the spirit of the album, blending the band's dance floor energy and pop sensibility with the psychedelic, distorted nature of their sound.
The images and typography melt and tremble as if they inhabited a sweaty dance floor where bass frequencies make objects and bodies vibrate. With the same intention of appealing to dance culture and its graphic history, the labels maintain a simple design reminiscent of house music vinyl from the eighties.
Noisy Neighbours was founded in 2021 as a platform to bring together, promote, blast and showcase the most bumpy and groovy house music. The label created by Emilio Mustafá and Alejandro Naranjo has been a hub for artists exploring the new landscapes of house music without losing its root original sound. Originally located in Bogotá, Noisy Neighbours is now an international project based in London and Barcelona and now counts with numerous collaborators and an ever growing list of releases.
Since the contacted me to create the logo and overall visual language of the label I have been working with the label creating artwork for every release with a great amount of creative freedom. Blending analogue and digital the style of Noisy Neighbours has evolved in a playful and vibrant collection of images that keep up with the fast paced grooves of its music and put in the forefront a sense of fun for the sake of fun in dance music.
In 2025 the label is set to release its first 12 inch vinyl “The Hood”. Listen to their music.
